The feeling of chapped lips is the worst feeling in the world - I try to avoid chapped lips as much as possible.
Here are a list of the best (in my opinion) lip balms/ lip chaps on the market!
1) EOS - they're packaged so adorably and come in a whole bunch of flavours!
My personal favourite is the Sweet Mint one by EOS - I just personally love mint flavoured anything and I like the tingling sensation it come with.
The only downside to any of the EOS's is that you can't really put them in your pocket! I mean they're awesome for your purse because you can find them really easily but these babies don't fit in pants pockets and can't fit in your sweater pockets/jacket pockets without creating a small bulge.
2) Baby Lips
Baby lips also comes in different flavours, and sheerly tint your lips AND has SPF 15 (which is a huge bonus) - although they only seem to moisturize for 30 minutes, they offer much more moisture than a lipstick.
3) Sugar Lip Treatment
Like Baby lips, it comes with a sheer tint and has SPF 15, however these are a bit more on the pricey side ($26 for a full sized tube vs. $4 Baby lips). It doesn't have the fake, fruity scents that Baby lips does, this has more of a faint, citrusy scent. Sugar Lip Treatment definitely moisturize, but they leave your lips feeling kind of wet - not to the point where your hair would stick to your lips, but like an "applied too much Vaseline" kind of feeling - but it goes away after a couple minutes.
This is also a "natural product" so it's formulated without parabens and sulfates and synthetic dyes.
Is it really worth the $26 though? I'd argue no because it's too much for a lip balm however it really does leave your lips with a nice tint.
4) Vaseline
Probably the cheapest way to keep your lips hydrated! No scent, no other funky business it just has one job and performs! I apply Vaseline to my lips everyday before I go to bed, and it does wonders.
5) Burts Bees Beeswax
This is the winner of the best lip balms/lip chaps out there in my opinion. I've used it religiously for as long as I can remember (probably around 9 years) and still to this day use it every day. The tingling sensation I get from this lip balm is like irreplaceable, no other product can measure up to it. It also smells strongly of mint - but not a fake mint smell, which I love as well. Also, this is one of the only lip products that don't leave a thick, greasy feeling on my lips.
I remember once I accidentally got the the Honey one instead of the Beeswax one and almost cried literally - the Honey one doesn't perform as well as the Beeswax one one.
Like Sugar Lip treatment, Burts Bees has all natural ingredients, which is a plus. The only downside is that it doesn't offer SPF protection.
Burts Bees Beeswax is probably one of the only products I would buy when it's not on sale - it's that good! Also, the tubes of these last forever! I've used (a new tube at the time) daily since August and it's probably 25% done. I haven't been able to finish a whole tube though because I keep losing them - and then I buy new ones and then I find the one I lost - which happens to me way to often so now I have enough for all of my purses pretty much.
Burts Bees is the winner - if you haven't tried it out I suggest you do!
