Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: DISCONTINUED!

I was at the stores the other day and was looking around to see if there was anything new or interesting to try out. I stumbled upon the Maybelline section and saw that there was no Dream Matte Powder, but there was a 'new' Dream Wonder Powder. My heart literally skipped a beat because this is my go-to holy grail powder; I literally love it more than anything, I find it better than any department store brand..

Anyways, I went home and Googled it right away, and my searches confirmed that Maybelline did discontinue the Dream Matte Powder... WHY??? I mean sure, the new packaging is a bit nicer than the old one but why not just update the packaging to the Dream Matte instead of replacing it with the Dream Wonder?

Maybelline took a perfectly good product that tons of people were happy with and replaced it with some mediocre/not as good product (I'm not kidding, the Dream Wonder Powder has been getting horrible reviews).

Anyways, I'm not happy and on the search for my next holy grail powder since my favourite one has been discontinued.
