Winter Fashion Trends for Winter 2013/2014

I'm just going to write about a couple of the top fashion trends for University/College students for the winter of 2013 and 2014. 

1) The big one for trends is definitely Herschel Backpacks. If you're on campus you will definitely see at least a couple of these backpacks; and their great! Very versatile, comfortable and even has a laptop sleeve! The only downside is that you have to carry your water bottle INSIDE your bag so of course that it risky business. I have the Herschel Heritage Backpack and absolutely LOVE it (I had a Jansport Backpack before and it was alright, but I like the Herschel one better because of the laptop compartment)

2) Another trendy fashion item is Sorel Boots! I especially see a lot of Joan of Arctic and Tivoli boots. Sorel boots are not only a trendy fashion item, but they also are extremely comfortable and warm. I have heard that they do run a little big, so if you're a half size I would recommend you to size down (that's what I did, and do not regret it one bit). I personally have the Sorel Tofino boots, which are supposed to be a hybrid of the Tivoli and Joan of Arctic boots, and they fit great and keep my feet very comfy. They also have the fur at the top like the Joan of Arctic. Also, I have heard that the Tofino boots are a little bit lighter boots than the Joan of Arctic.

3) Of course, how can we forget the jackets; Canada Goose! I see a lot of Canada Goose Chilliwack bombers around but I prefer the parkas! I have both the Montebello and Trillium Parka and enjoy both; they keep me very warm! Canada Gooses' average in price from around $600 (the bombers) to $650 (parkas), and $700 and up for the warmer parkas. I think that they aren't that bad of a price because other parkas (insulated ones) are quite pricey, I've seen parkas range from $400 to over $1000. If you're thinking about getting a Goose, I definitely think you should because they are great quality and it also comes with a lifetime warranty, which is great obviously. 

The amazing thing about all three of the top trendy items for winter are that they are for both girls and guys!
