Maybelline Baby Lips Review

Saturday, November 2, 2013

We've all definitely heard a lot about Maybelline Baby Lips and the question that most people ask is, "Is it worth it, when I can buy a cheaper lip balm that will do the same things as this kind-of-pricey lip balm?

The answer is YES, and I'm going to rave about Baby Lips because it is simply amazing.

I've only tried three so far,

From Left to Right (Grape Vine, Peach Kiss, and Pink Punch)

And the swatches Left to Right (Peach Kiss, Pink Punch and Grape Vine)

As you can see, Peach Kiss is a very sheer nude colour with a bit a sparkle.
Pink Punch is the most pigmented out of the three, and is a gorgeous somewhat sheer pink colour and if you apply two to three coats of it, it actually looks like you applied it using a lipstick!
And Grape Vine looks phenomenal on already pigmented lips, it looks purple in the bottle, but since it is sheer it's more like a very, very light purple and actually looks more like a deep red.

The great thing about Baby Lips is that it has SPF, moisturizes lips, and has a great colour/pigmentation for a lip balm! I've yet to try a lip balm that has colour but actually shows up on my lips! They also smell amazing (especially Pink Punch!)

The downside is that you can taste the SPF on your lips, but at least it has SPF, right? And also, that the staying power isn't that long.. I think I could go maybe 45 minutes tops without reapplying it.

My advice is to definitely try Baby Lips out, and try to find them on sale too, I got them on sale for $3 at Walmart so look out for sales and grab a couple!
