Cleaning/Caring for your Canada Goose!

Sunday, November 3, 2013

So you spent all this money on a Canada Goose and you don't know what the hell you're supposed to do with it!

DO NOT MACHINE WASH IT AT HOME! Take your Canada Goose to a reputable dry-cleaner, and expect to pay around $50 for it. All Canada Goose jackets come with a lifetime warranty, and machines washing it will void the warranty! It could also potentially ruin your jacket, since the fill is real duck down and you don't want to attempt to ruin it!
Also, make sure that you don't like the fur attached to it (if it is removable) because the dry cleaners will ruin the fur!

If the fur on your Canada Goose is removable, just clean it in clean snow and hang to dry, because it is made out of real coyote fur and that's how coyotes clean their fur! Make sure not to get any chemicals, or soaps on it because it could potentially ruin the fur.

If it happens that your Goose has a stain or something on it, just spot clean it with a mild/bleach free detergent and water!

I would recommend you take your Goose into the dry-cleaners about once a year, probably before the winter season.
