I'm sure everyone has heard this constantly before but DRINK ICE COLD WATER
I cannot stress how important it is to drink at least two litres of water everyday, it keeps your skin looking healthy, repairs cells, AND it can speed up your metabolism. What I like to do is leave a jug or bottle in the fridge for a couple hours so when you drink it it's already ice cold and since it's cold your body has to rush to help get your body temperature warmer (that's how it speeds up your metabolism) - if you dont like the taste of just plain water, squeeze a lemon in or add raspberries to it!
So switch up your morning coffee for a glass of water and try to substitute water for sodas, juices and your body will definitely thank you!
Eat greek yogurt with breakfast!
Greek yogurt is full of many health benefits but most importantly it has a lot of protein which will make you feel more full which will cause you to eat less. It's low in carbs and is a very good source of calcium to keep your bones strong! be careful though because the flavoured yogurts can be full of sugars! What I like to do is get either the plain or vanilla flavour and add in my own fruit - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches you name it!
Oatmeal
Oatmeal also has many many many great health benefits. Firstly it lowers risk of both diabetes and breast cancer. And it also has a lot of fiber in it so like protein, fiber will make you feel more full and it will cause you to eat less. It is also low in calories so this is a great substitute to eating other high in carbs breakfast foods such as french toast or waffles! I'll admit that the taste is very bland so I like to add in a little bit of brown sugar and fruit in. Or you can get the instant oatmeal that Quakers sells that come in an assortment of flavours like Cookies n' creme, peaches and cream!
